Who Is This Guy
We travel around to different locations within Minnesota and the surrounding area. Sometimes we camp but oftentimes it’s a day trip and a nice hike. I like to document our trips for several reasons. It helps keep the fun memories of a nice hike close at hand and a little part of me thinks I’m helping the environment…let me explain. With all the drastic weather changes occurring across the globe, it feels like we’re at a fragile tipping point. Doing my little part to show the hidden gems we have locally may bring more awareness to others to share in our part to do our best to take special care of the places where we live and visit. It’s a group effort.
I support this website with my own funds, so I also offer up many images for print for sale on my Darkroom store. It doesn’t cover my expenses, but that’s not the point.
On a side note, our rescue pup, Henri, joins us on our trips and is enjoying his new lease on life. He is gaining more confidence each day, which has been rewarding in itself.
In case you noticed, there are a few photos from Belgium mixed in here as well. My wife is from there and I’ve been lucky enough to bring my camera with me when we travel to visit her family.

It’s a bit of an odd name, but I quickly realized that I didn’t know or explore much within our own state. And even better, I have been really enjoying the photo opportunities locally. In other words, we don’t have to travel far and wide to make a photo worth keeping. It sure helps to go somewhere majestic, but it’s not always necessary.
